Hi there! We’re excited for you to join ProFed. 

As we transition our systems, we want to extend our thanks in advance for your patience. The following information will help you navigate the changes to your account and access the new products and services available to you. Our goal is to make this transition as smooth as possible. 

Top Things to Know

  1. ROUTING NUMBERS: ProFed’s Routing number is 274973183. ProFed will process transactions using East Allen Federal Credit Union’s (EAFCU) routing number through March 31, 2023.
  2. MEMBER ACCOUNT NUMBER: ProFed will assign you a new base account number on October 1, 2022. ProFed’s member system is person-centric, and our member service associates can locate your accounts using your name. Savings, Checking, and Loan accounts are further identified with a 4-digit number that you will find on your statement. You may also stop by any branch with a valid government-issued picture ID and request the new account information.
  3. CHECKS AND CHECK PROCESSING: ProFed will supply 12 starter checks and a coupon for a free box of checks to each checking account holder. Stop by any branch or call 260-373-1633 to order your choice of designs. Checks written on your account at EAFCU will be processed through March 31, 2023.   4. ATMS: No matter where you travel, you can access your account at over 37,000 surcharge-free ATMs! Find the locations within your digital banking app or at profedcu.org/locations. Select surcharge-free ATMs in Search Options.
  5. FEES: ProFed’s fees are one of the lowest in our area. A fee schedule can be found here.
  6. AUTOMATIC WITHDRAWALS AND PAYMENTS: Provide your new routing number and account number information to your payroll administrator, social security administration, and any other vendor that is electronically debiting or crediting your account by December 31, 2022, to provide enough time for them to update their records by March 31, 2023. ProFed’s routing number is 274973183. Stop by any branch or call 260-373-1633 or 800-752-4613 ext. 1633 or email [email protected] for the correct ACH format of your account number.
  7. DEBIT CARD: Your new ProFed debit card is in the mail. You can activate your new debit card on Monday, October 3, by calling 1-888-373-2880. Your existing EAFCU debit card will be inactive beginning on Wednesday, October 5. Call 260-373-1632 or 800-752-4613 ext. 1632, or email [email protected] for assistance.
  8. CREDIT CARD: You should have received detailed information about ProFed’s Rewards credit card. Credit cards will be mailed to existing EAFCU cardholders on October 1, 2022. Activate your card upon receipt and start earning rewards. Your existing EAFCU credit card will be inactive beginning on Wednesday, October 5, 2022.   9. BRANCHES, HOURS & EMPLOYEES: Your favorite EAFCU employees aren’t going anywhere! You will get to know some additional friendly faces through our extended hours and video teller machines (VTMs). ProFed branch lobbies are open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday until 6:00 PM. Video Teller Machines are available Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Our Call Center is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 7:30 PM.
  10. TELEPHONE / AUDIO BANKING: Use our Audio Banking System to manage your money with one quick call. Check account balances, activate or deactivate credit or debit cards, transfer funds, review account history, and more. To start banking, beginning Monday, October 3—Give us a call at 260-483-5537 and follow the prompts. You’ll need your new ProFed account number.

     

    Digital Banking Access

    EAFCU’s Online Banking will not be accessible beginning Friday, September 30, after 5:00 PM—meaning you will not be able to view your transactions or accounts.

    Beginning Monday, October 3, you can enroll in ProFed Digital Banking—visit profedcu.org/resources for step-by-step instructions and video tutorials.

    ProFed’s Digital Banking allows you to do your banking anywhere, anytime. Services include: viewing all your accounts under one login, checking balances, and transferring within your ProFed accounts to your external accounts and other members. Loan payments from external accounts, eStatements and eNotices, bill payments, and person-to-person payments are available.

    Card services include blocking your credit or debit card, requesting a replacement card, and creating travel notifications. Round up all your debit card transactions into a savings jar. Apply for a loan, view your credit score, and get text and email alerts. Additionally, you can make check deposits using our mobile banking.

    ProFed’s digital banking platform can be used on a desktop PC, or you can download the ProFed Digital Banking app from the app store to use our mobile banking. Click here to download the iOS app. Click here to download the Android app.

    Detailed instructions to register are enclosed in the membership card letter that was mailed to you or can be found here.     CONVENIENT, SECURE DIGITAL BANKING ACCESS: Convenient, secure, 24/7 access to your accounts right from your computer, tablet, and smartphone. Digital banking services include balances, transfers within your accounts, transfers to your external accounts, and transfers to other members. Loan payments from external accounts, eStatements and eNotices, bill payments, and person-to-person payments are available. Card services include blocking your credit card, requesting a replacement card, and creating travel notifications. Deposit checks using our mobile banking app, apply for a loan, view your credit score, set up text and email alerts, and so much more.

    MOBILE PAYMENT OPTIONS: You’ll be able to use your card(s) with the touch of your finger! Link your ProFed cards to your devices for Apple® Pay, Apple Watch, Fitbit® Pay, Garmin® Pay, Google® Pay, and Samsung® Pay.

    ENROLL IN ESTATEMENTS: Once you have registered for Digital Banking, make sure to enroll in ProFed eStatements. This is completed under the Stmts/eDocs area of the Digital Banking platform. Your last 18 months of statement history (except for credit cards) will be uploaded.

    BILL PAY / ACH / AUTOMATIC PAYMENT: You will now have access to Bill Pay after the transition! Input payees, schedule payments, and review history all seamlessly.

    ALERTS IN DIGITAL BANKING: Create customized alerts for your accounts by logging in, selecting Settings, then selecting Alerts.

    MONEY MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE OR APPS: To use money management like Quicken®, QuickBooks®, or Intuit® Mint, you need to re-enroll with these platforms as we cannot transfer the information. We encourage you to save/export your custom file before Friday, September 30, so it’s handy for re-enrollment and you have your historical data.
     

    Debit Cards

    WHEN WILL I GET A NEW CARD? Your new ProFed debit card was mailed on Wednesday, September 21, and should be received 7–10 business days after. Keep a close eye on your mailbox!

    IS MY PIN THE SAME? You will need to create a new PIN for your ProFed debit card during the activation process.

    WHAT IF I DIDN’T GET A NEW CARD? If you haven’t received your card by Wednesday, September 28, please contact [email protected] or call 260-373-1632 or 800-752-4613 ext. 1632.

    WHAT ARE MY CARD BENEFITS?

    Credit Cards

    WHEN WILL I GET A NEW CARD? Your new ProFed Rewards card will be in the mail on October 1. Please activate this card upon receipt. Your existing EAFCU card will be inactive beginning on Wednesday, October 5, 2022.

    IS MY PIN THE SAME? You will need to create a new PIN for your ProFed Rewards card during the activation process.

    WHAT ARE MY CARD BENEFITS? No annual fee, balance transfer fee, or cash advance fee (25-day grace period on purchases). Digital banking access for payments, history, balance transfers, and more. Plus, travel and emergency assistance services, warrant manager, travel accident insurance, lost luggage reimbursement, cell phone protection, and trip cancellation/interruption protection.

    WILL THIS NEGATIVELY IMPACT MY CREDIT? No. We’re simply transferring this existing credit card from EAFCU to ProFed, so you’re not opening a new loan or impacting your credit score.

    HOW CAN I ACCESS STATEMENTS? Your credit card statement will be mailed to you at the beginning of each month for the prior month. If you enroll in ProFed’s eStatements, your credit card statements will be located under the Stmts/eDocs area. EAFCU credit card statements will not be uploaded to digital banking.     HOW DO I MAKE A PAYMENT? Mail a check, stop by a branch, drop off your payment in one of our night deposit boxes, or use the payment feature in Digital Banking.

    EARN REWARDS: ProFed Visa Rewards credit card earns 1% cash rewards, and rewards are paid in $25.00 increments to your primary savings account. Balance transfers, PIN transactions, and cash advances do not qualify as purchases for purposes of earning rewards.

    YOUR NEW DAILY CREDIT CARD LIMITS: Your daily credit limit will remain the same.

    RATES & LIMITS: You will receive new ProFed rates and terms. Our rate is lower than the current EAFCU rate.

     

    Loan Accounts 

    WHAT IF MY EAFCU PAYMENT IS DUE ON OCTOBER 1–2? You’re good! If you’re using Bill Pay, scheduling at EAFCU, or using an automatic payment method, make sure it’s scheduled before Thursday, September 29.

    HOW DO I MAKE A PAYMENT? Please make a payment in Digital Banking, mail a check, stop by a branch, or drop your payment in one of our night deposit boxes. Visit profedcu.org/locations for a list of branches and night deposits.

    LOAN ACCOUNT NUMBERS: Once you enroll in Digital Banking, log in and select Account Numbers under the Profile tab to view a listing of all your account numbers. Not a fan of digital? Stop by any branch location, and we’ll happily provide it.

    LOAN COUPON BOOKS: Do you use Loan Coupon Books? This feature will be discontinued after the merger.

    YOUR INTEREST RATE, TERM, & DUE DATE: We’re simply transferring this loan from EAFCU to ProFed. Your interest rate, term, and due date will remain the same.

    SCHEDULED PAYMENTS: If your scheduled loan payments are set up using your account and routing numbers, you’re good to go— these will automatically convert over with your new ProFed account(s).

    LOAN INSURANCE: Your loan protection coverage and GAP insurance will be the same or better.
